The selection of the Indian team playing the tri -series in Bangladesh seems to have been highly influenced by the ipl.

Squad:

Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain and wicket keeper), Yuvraj Singh, Robin Uthappa, Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Sreesanth, Ishant Sharma, Praveen Kumar, RP Singh, Piyush Chawla, Pragyan Ojha.

Clearly 7 out of the 15 member squad were the top performers of the ipl (2 bowlers and 5 batsmen). Some others in the squad being Robin Uthappa who was impressive in the early stages of the tournament ,Rohit Sharma showed how splendid a batsmen he is .Pragyan Ojha did a decent spin job for the Deccan Chargers and R.P.Singh missed  the list of top 10 though he 15 wickets in tournament because of a bad last match.While Ishant Sharma continued to impress with his pace through out the tournament.
